Easy DIY Project
I posted a pretty easy and inexpensive DIY project yesterday, but I found one that's even cheaper AND easier! Anyone can make this one.
Just head to the store and stop by the paint section to pick up a couple of the paint strip samples. All you'll need are green and brown strips. Cut out the trees and stick them to a piece of paper! This project was so incredibly simple. And cheap. Next time I'm in town I'll swing by the local dollar store and grab a frame.
When my parents were building our house back in the early 2000s, there was one thing my mom insisted on- having cabinets in our laundry room for scrapbooking. I was never really in to the scrapbook scene growing up...my mom always did it for us. I have a scrapbook from middle school, one dedicated to our 8th grade trip to D.C., a book for high school, and one just for band. Scrapbooking was my moms outlet. It always seemed that I was all gun-hoe about it and by the time we'd pull all of the materials out to the table, I was done. I just got overwhelmed so easily. How could I fill up a 12x12 page and make it look good?
Thanks to an old friend from high school's blog, I've made a new discovery- Project Life. I was looking at her pictures and was so intrigued by this new way to scrapbook so I decided to do some research (and yes I even created a Pinterest board).
After my research, I wasn't too sure if this was truly for me. Documenting every week for a year? I'm al…
Yes, I'm alive. I promise. I honestly have been thinking about writing this post but it just hasn't happened. Mainly because I forget about it. I keep trying to think about a clever title, too, but it was time that I just sat down and wrote the darn thing.
So here's another post that belongs to more than one month. I'm starting to set a trend...which needs to change. Actually, a lot needs to change and you'll soon see why.
So November. I'm trying to remember what even happened. I know Thanksgiving happened, obviously, but what happened other than that? I honestly don't remember. Not one bit. This is what happens to me after the holidays. It all becomes a blur. I knew I should have blogged sooner!
So, based on my TWO logs in my app I can tell you that I managed to drop -1.2 pounds in November. But hey, I FINALLY MET MY GOAL... again. I'll also add that I logged that weight two weeks in and maintained it after Thanksgiving which, I was darn proud of myse…
We are finally making some progress on the wedding front! And no, the date is not one of them. But I do have plans to have that by the end of summer (which is quickly approaching).
We have started asking our wedding party if they'd like to join us for our special day. There were so many things to think about- who do we want? What will they wear? And most importantly, how will I ask them? (the bridesmaids of course) With the popularity of Pinterest on the rise, I once again felt the pressure on how I would ask the ladies to be my bridemaids. I seriously spent forever on this. I even created a secret board on Pinterest with my ideas. I'm here to say I finally figured out the way I wanted to ask my ladies. I knew the key for me was it had to be cute, match my colors, and be personal.
Once I had compiled a list of things I wanted in the box, it was time to write a little note. I decided to be super cheesy and write a poem for their boxes. All I have to say is thank goodness for fi…
